وتستدعي الأحوال الجوية انتباهًا خاصًا. فرغم دفء درجات الحرارة نهارًا في مدينة ماغيلانغ، كثيرًا ما يصبح مجمع المعبد باردًا وعاصفًا ليلًا. ويُستحسن اصطحاب سترة أو وشاح، إلى جانب مستلزمات بسيطة كالزيوت العلاجية أو المسكنة، للحفاظ على الراحة خلال فترات الانتظار الطويلة.

وأخيرًا، يظل التحلّي بالصبر عند المغادرة أمرًا ضروريًا. إذ تنتهي الفعاليات عادةً في ساعة متأخرة من الليل، نحو الحادية عشرة مساءً أو بعدها، فيما يتدفق آلاف الحضور نحو المخارج في وقت واحد. ويُنصح الزوار بعدم التسرع في التوجه إلى البوابات فورًا، فالانتظار مدة تتراوح بين ٢٠ و٣٠ دقيقة بعد انتهاء الحدث كفيل بتسهيل الخروج ومنح المغادرين تجربة أكثر هدوءًا.

However, attending the Borobudur Lantern Festival requires more than just showing up. Visitors are strongly advised to understand the rules and cultural context to ensure a respectful and seamless experience.

First, it is essential to distinguish between two types of tickets: “lantern release” and “spectator” tickets. Those holding lantern release tickets are granted access to the main inner area (ring 1), where participants can take part in the ritual of releasing lanterns.
