60 ألف جندي وشرطة يستعدون لتأمين قمة آسيان في نوفمبر

مانيلا، اندونيسيا اليوم – إنّ ما يقرب من 60 ألف جندي وشرطة سيتم نشره في القمة الــ31 لرابطة دول جنوب شرق آسيا (آسيان) هذا الشهر. وفقا لــ صحيفة (سي ان ان الفلبينية)
ذكرت وزارة الداخلية الفلبينية والحكومة المحلية الخميس الماضي بأنّه سيتم نشر 59276 من قوات الأمن في مناطق الكبري في العاصمة مانيلا وفي مدينة بامبانجا لضمان سلامة أمن الوفود لآسيان والجمهورالمشاركون في القمة.
ومن التوقّع أن يحضر في القمة أكثر من 20 زعيما في العالم ومن ضمنهم الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب في المؤتمر المزمع عقده من 10 إلي 14 من الشهر الحالي.
وكما سيتم من خلالها تكليف أعضاء الشرطة الوطنية الفلبينية والقوات المسلحة الفلبينية بتأمين المطارات والطرق والميادين التي تمر من خلالها المندوبون.
وقال الضابط المسؤول في الوزراة الداخلية كاتاليانو كوي في بيان له: ” إنّنا نسعي الحصول على المزيد من موارد عسكرية في المناطق المجاورة للإطمئنان على سلامة القمة من أي حوادث غير مرغوب فيها”.
ويذكر بأنّ عدد القوات المنتشرة تبلغ أكثر من ضعف لـ26 ألفا التي ضمنت قمة آسيان الثلاثين في أبريل الماضي.
وعلاوة على ذلك، فإنّه سيتم إغلاق المعابر الفرعية والعامة ليتسع سير المواكب لممثلي آسيان ابتداء من 8 إلي 15 نوفمبر. وكما تتواجد السلطات الحكومية في المباني التي تستضيف الاجتماعات مثل المركز الثقافي للفلبين والمركز الدولي للمؤتمرات إضافة إلي سوفيتتل فلبين بلازا في مدينة باساي.
وكما ستنعقد القمة في مدينة كلارك، ويعتقد بأنّ جميع القادة المشاركون في المؤتمرلقمة آسيا يصلون عبر مطار كلارك الدولي والذي يبعد من شمال العاصمة مانيلا 80 كم ومن خلالها أيضا سيغادرون منه.
وأشار المراقب أوسكار ألبيالد بأنّ الميترو في عاصمة مانيلا آمن كما أكّده رئيس شرطة في المنطقة.

The Department of Interior and Local Government on Thursday said 59,276 security forces will be deployed to areas in Metro Manila and Pampanga to ensure the safety and security of the ASEAN delegates and the public.
Over 20 world leaders, including U.S. President Donald Trump, are expected to attend the meetings scheduled for November 10 to 14.
Members of the Philippine National Police and the Armed Forces of the Philippines will be assigned to secure the airports, routes, venues, and tours of the delegates.
“We are therefore mobilizing thousands of troops and resources and even get augmentations from nearby regions just to make sure that there will be no untoward incident during the summit,” Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Officer-in-Charge Catalino Cuy said in a statement.
The number of forces deployed is more than double the 26,000 that secured the 30th ASEAN Summit in April.
Partial and full lockdowns will be implemented to accommodate ASEAN convoys from November 8 to 15. Authorities will place on lockdown a number of areas hosting the meetings, such as the Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex, the Philippine International Convention Center, and Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila in Pasay City.
All foreign leaders will arrive and leave through the Clark International Airport in Clark, Pampanga, 80 kilometers north of Manila. The ASEAN Summit will take place in Clark.
Metro Manila police chief assured Supt. Oscar Albayalde said the metro is safe and secure.
There will be a send-off ceremony for the security forces on November 5 at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila. Independence Road from Katigbak Drive to South Drive will be closed to traffic as early as 6 a.m. Sunday and will only be re-opened once the send-off ceremony is done. The right and left portions of Quirino Grandstand including Bonifacio Drive, P. Burgos, and T. M. Kalaw will be rerouted while the ceremony is ongoing.
